Continuing Studies: Brains, Bodies, and Buildings - Neuro-Architecture and the Spaces That Shape Us

Simon McPherson has recently completed this Continuing Studies course provided by Stanford University, California. The course ran over six (6) fortnightly sessions in early 2026.

In 2025, Simon joined his international colleagues attending the ANFA (Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture) Conference in San Diego, California. The Conference explored the role and potential of neuroscience in understanding and designing the built environment to be welcoming and comfortable for all.

The course extends Simon's ongoing interest in inclusive, diverse and restorative urban environments, and designing for neurodivergence, providing new knowledge and resources to directly shape our projects across housing, learning environments, streetscapes and urban precincts.
